VitrineMedia LED screens deliver Harcourts a solution so spectacular it had the legendary All Blacks in awe!

They may have lost rather badly to the Wallabies in Perth in early August 2019 but the All Blacks’ equally emphatic victory over the same opposition in Auckland a week later – and with it the retention of the Bledisloe Cup – was no more widely celebrated in New Zealand than in the Harcourts Nelson office.

That’s because almost a year earlier, in September 2018, when the nation’s rugby team rolled into town for the first-ever Test match in the city on the northern tip of the South Island – against Argentina – the innovative real estate agency used its VitrineMedia backlit LED screens in the shopfront windows to welcome their heroes.

Harcourts Nelson’s Lisa Harvey was there to greet All Blacks captain Kieran Read when he popped by.

“Having invested in VitrineMedia’s backlit screens about a year earlier and experienced their incredible power in drawing people to the windows, conveying our corporate messages and highlighting our for sale and rental properties, we thought we’d use them for a few days to welcome our wonderful All Blacks to town,” Harcourts Nelson’s Office Manager Pauline Bryant recalls.

The majority of the premises’ 36 VitrineMedia A3 screens and four large banners temporarily shed their property cards in favour of portraits of the All Blacks squad and messages in support of the team.

“It did just as we had anticipated,” Pauline continues, “becoming a major attraction in the town and even compelling some of the players – including captain Kieran Reid – to pop by, admire their portraits and graciously pose with staff in front of their displays.”

The power of VitrineMedia’s backlit LED screens has since encouraged the Harcourts Nelson team to install the products in its recently acquired Richmond office, some 14 kilometres away.

The office was purchased in November 2018 before undergoing a significant facelift, with 32 VitrineMedia A3 screens and an additional four large banners adorning the expansive windows and celebrating Harcourts’ presence in the town.

Harcourts Nelson came across the VitrineMedia family of LED screens a few years back when Principal Chris Harvey attended an Australia and New Zealand Harcourts conference at which VitrineMedia had a display. He was captivated by their smart, high technology look, simplicity of operation and negligible power consumption.

“That’s what we have loved about the products ever since we installed them,” Pauline enthuses.

“They look fantastic and make a really high-tech statement when in fact it’s their simplicity – a slim screen with powerful LED back lighting and a special paper that amplifies the visual – that’s most appealing to all.

“And with the noticeable increase in visitations to the Nelson shopfront – and some of these have undoubtedly translated into enquiries and sales – it was an easy decision to extend the magnetic power of VitrineMedia’s backlit static displays to Richmond.”

The decision was also made easier thanks to VitrineMedia’s New Zealand Operations Manager Peter Gardner, who Pauline describes as “absolutely amazing” while praising his commitment to the customer, his product knowledge, his patience in explaining every aspect of the purchase to the staff and his determination to ensure that everything runs smoothly.

“He’s the sort of chap who pops in to say g’day when he’s in the area, even when there’s no business need.”

Should New Zealand’s beloved All Blacks go on to clinch a record fourth Rugby World Cup title in Japan later this year, you can be sure it will be an especially g’day for a collection of real estate professionals down on the South Island.

And who knows, perhaps a few windows in Nelson’s city centre will again be filled with photos of and tributes to their sporting heroes!
